Hospital baby blankets and receiving blankets for maternity units

Hospital baby blankets, also called receiving blankets, are the soft blankets used to swaddle and warm newborns in maternity and neonatal units. International Linens weaves and finishes them in its own units in Faisalabad, Pakistan under OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certified processing, and supplies them in bulk to hospitals and healthcare distributors.

The classic hospital receiving blanket is a white cotton flannel with pink and blue stripes, 30 x 40 inches, soft enough for newborn skin and tough enough for hundreds of hot washes. We make that blanket, plus larger 36 x 36 and 40 x 40 sizes and printed designs for pediatric wards and private label programs.

Baby blanket specifications

Cotton or cotton/polyester flannel, brushed on both sides, with hemmed or overlocked edges. Every lot is processed under our OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certificate, the class written for baby articles.

Why the certificate matters here

OEKO-TEX Class I is the strictest class in the standard and is defined specifically for articles that touch a baby’s skin. Our bleaching and finishing carry that certificate (number 2026OK1630, issued by AITEX in Spain), so a maternity unit or distributor can verify the fabric’s chemical safety independently rather than take our word for it.

Receiving blankets are often programmed with fitted crib sheets and pediatric gowns from the pediatric apparel collection.

Made in-house, quality checked before packing

Every piece is made in our own units in Faisalabad, Pakistan: fabric woven or knitted in-house, bleached and finished under an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certified process, then cut, stitched and inspected against an agreed AQL before packing. Sampling comes first; approved samples stay on file so repeat containers match. We have manufactured institutional textiles since 2004 and hold ISO 9001:2015, SEDEX SMETA and C-TPAT credentials, listed with certificate numbers on our certifications page.

Bulk supply and quotation

Supplied by the carton, bale or container to distributors, laundries, institutions and private label brands, mainly in the United States.
