Reusable cleanroom gowning garments for ISO 7 and ISO 8 rooms

Cleanroom gowning garments are the reusable coveralls, frocks, hoods and lab coats worn to enter controlled environments in pharmaceutical, medical-device, electronics and laboratory facilities. International Linens cuts and stitches them in bulk from low-linting polyester and carbon-grid fabrics for cleanroom laundries, distributors and facility operators.

A cleanroom garment has one job: to keep particles and fibres shed by the wearer out of the room. That means a tightly woven, low-linting fabric, covered seams, elastic or knit cuffs, and a design that is easy to gown into in the right order without touching the outside. Reusable garments are laundered by a cleanroom laundry and re-worn dozens of times, which costs far less per wear than disposables and produces far less waste.

ISO 8 cleanroom gowning procedure

Gowning order matters as much as the garment. A typical ISO 8 entry procedure runs: remove jewellery and outer clothing, don shoe covers before stepping over the line, wash and sanitise hands, put on bouffant or hood, then the frock or coverall closed to the neck, then gloves over the cuffs, and inspect in a mirror before entering. ISO 7 rooms add a full coverall, hood and boot covers and often a face mask. Gowning supplies such as tacky mats, gloves and masks are consumables sourced separately; we make the reusable garments.

Ordering

Send the room classification, garment list, sizes, quantities and laundering method through the contact page. We make counter samples to your pattern and can supply garments to a cleanroom laundry program. Related staff apparel: lab coats and isolation gowns and scrub suits.

Made in-house, quality checked before packing

Every piece is made in our own units in Faisalabad, Pakistan: fabric woven or knitted in-house, bleached and finished under an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certified process, then cut, stitched and inspected against an agreed AQL before packing. Sampling comes first; approved samples stay on file so repeat containers match. We have manufactured institutional textiles since 2004 and hold ISO 9001:2015, SEDEX SMETA and C-TPAT credentials, listed with certificate numbers on our certifications page.
