Institutional linens for government and public facilities
Institutional linens are the sheets, blankets, gowns and table linens bought by government and public-sector facilities: public hospitals, health services such as the NHS, veterans’ and military hospitals, correctional facilities, universities, emergency stockpiles and public care institutions. International Linens has manufactured institutional bedding since 2004 and supplies distributors and contractors that serve these buyers, with the documentation their tenders require.

What institutional buyers ask for
- Specification compliance. Fibre, thread count, weight, sizes and shrinkage stated in writing and tested.
- Documentation. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I, ISO 9001:2015, SEDEX SMETA audit and C-TPAT security assessment, with certificate numbers that can be verified.
- Consistency across contract periods. Approved samples kept on file so year three of a contract matches year one.
- Capacity. Monthly container schedules and the ability to scale for stockpile orders.
- Traceability. One mill from yarn to packing, so origin and labour conditions are auditable.

Tender and contract support
We supply a compliance pack with every quotation: certificate copies with issue and expiry dates, fabric test reports, size and tolerance sheets, and a capacity statement. Samples are made to the tender specification and kept on file for the contract term. Buyers and their auditors are welcome at both units in Faisalabad, and we can run a live video walk-through of the line producing a specific order.
How institutional purchasing usually works with us
Public bodies rarely import directly; they buy through approved distributors, contractors or group purchasing frameworks, and those organisations buy from manufacturers. If you are a distributor bidding for a public contract, we can quote to the specification, supply the documentation in your name where private label applies, and hold stock schedules against the contract. If you are a public buyer, we can point you to distributors that carry our linen in your market. Contact the export team through the contact page; see also our certifications.
In UK health and social care, linen is disinfected to HTM 01-04 (71°C for 3 minutes or 65°C for 10 minutes), and we build our linens to hold up to it.
