Hospital draw sheets for lifting, turning and protecting the bed
Draw sheets are shorter sheets laid across the middle of a hospital bed so staff can lift and reposition a patient and the bottom sheet stays clean. International Linens weaves and knits draw sheets in bulk for hospitals, healthcare distributors and laundries from fabric made in its own units in Faisalabad, Pakistan.
A draw sheet takes more strain than any other item on the bed: two people pulling, several times a shift, on a sheet that has already been through the tunnel washer a hundred times. Ours are hemmed on all four sides with double stitching, in constructions chosen to hold their shape and their whiteness.
Draw sheet sizes
Draw sheets for hospital beds are cut 54 inches wide so they tuck under both sides of a 36 inch mattress. Lengths from 72 to 90 inches cover the standard 36 x 80 bed and wider bariatric beds; the 54 x 90 size is also used as a lift sheet on 42 and 48 inch mattresses.

Woven or knitted draw sheets
Woven draw sheets are the standard choice for tucking and lifting. Knitted draw sheets stretch with a knitted fitted sheet and are gentler on fragile skin, which is why long-term care facilities often pair them with knitted fitted sheets. Both are colour coded on request, and both can be cut from the same fabric lot as your flat sheets so the bed matches.
Made in-house, quality checked before packing
Every piece is made in our own units in Faisalabad, Pakistan: fabric woven or knitted in-house, bleached and finished under an OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certified process, then cut, stitched and inspected against an agreed AQL before packing. Sampling comes first; approved samples stay on file so repeat containers match. We have manufactured institutional textiles since 2004 and hold ISO 9001:2015, SEDEX SMETA and C-TPAT credentials, listed with certificate numbers on our certifications page.

Frequently asked questions
What size is a hospital draw sheet?
Usually 54 inches wide by 72 to 90 inches long. 54 x 72 suits a standard bed; 54 x 90 gives more tuck and works on wider beds.
What is the difference between a draw sheet and a lift sheet?
They are the same item under two names: a sheet placed across the bed under the patient’s torso and hips so two carers can reposition them without dragging the skin.
Are draw sheets waterproof?
Our draw sheets are woven or knitted cotton/polyester and are not laminated. For moisture protection they are used over an underpad or a waterproof mattress cover.
Can draw sheets be colour coded?
Yes. Blue and green are regular colours; custom dyed shades are available for facility or size coding.
