Hospital pillow cases for daily institutional use
Hospital pillow cases (also written pillowcases) are the pillow covers changed daily on hospital and care-home beds. International Linens weaves, finishes and stitches them in its own units in Faisalabad, Pakistan, and supplies them in bulk to healthcare distributors, hospitals and laundries.
Pillowcases are the most frequently changed item on the ward, so they are built simple and strong: an open-end or envelope construction, a secure 2 or 3 inch hem, and a fabric finish that keeps its whiteness through hot washing and bleach. Premium hospital pillowcases in T-180 and above give a smoother hand for private rooms and long-term care.
Hospital pillowcase sizes
The standard hospital pillow case is 20 x 30 inches for a 20 x 26 pillow, with 20 x 40 for king pillows. The 42 x 34 and 42 x 36 sizes are cut-and-sewn from a wider fabric and fold to the same standard case; laundries specify them by cut size.
Hospital pillow case specifications
T-130 and T-150 cotton/polyester are the usual ward qualities; T-180 to T-250 and CVC for premium programs. Hems are 2 or 3 inches.

Open-end or envelope?
Open-end hospital pillow covers are quickest to change and iron flat; envelope closures keep the pillow covered in transport and on made-up beds. Both are made in the same fabrics, and a pillow protector under the case extends pillow life. Colour coding in blue, green or navy is common for isolation or ownership.
Pillowcases are usually ordered with matching flat sheets and fitted sheets from the same fabric lot.
